Before use:
Soak your new ham bag in a solution of 2 cups of water + 1 tablespoon of white vinegar.
Wring out so it’s damp, not dripping, then wrap your ham and store it in the fridge.
The vinegar helps keep your ham fresh and discourages mould.
To refresh:
Every few days, re-soak the bag in the same water/vinegar mix, wring out, and rewrap your ham.
Washing:
After use, machine wash or hand wash in cool or warm water using mild detergent.
Avoid bleach or fabric softeners — they can affect freshness.
Drying:
Hang your bag to air dry completely before storing away.
